Brokerage Driver Privacy

Updated September 29, 2026

WALS TMS Brokerage Driver helps drivers access brokerage loads, share location with dispatch, and submit proof of delivery. This page explains that app’s account, location, document, and messaging features. The brokerage driver app is not yet publicly released. Your brokerage will provide installation and invitation instructions when access is available.

WALS TMS and your brokerage

WALS TMS provides the app and platform. The brokerage named in your invitation assigns your load, operates its driver messaging program, and uses your shared information in its TMS workspace. Its authorized staff can view your tracking status, latest shared location, and uploaded load documents. Service providers support hosting, account access, document storage, and message delivery.

Your account and load information

Your name and mobile phone number identify you and your load assignment. You choose your password when first activating an invitation and use your phone number to sign in. Stored passwords are hashed. We maintain access, session, consent, and messaging delivery records to operate these features. If you request a password reset, a private, expiring link is texted to your account’s phone number when the brokerage’s messaging service and your SMS permission allow it. Keep invitation and reset links private.

The app displays operational load details, pickup and delivery addresses, appointments, equipment information, and instructions. It does not display load rates, carrier pay, invoices, or settlements. Camera and selected-file access let you scan or upload proof of delivery to the assigned load’s brokerage record.

Location sharing is a separate choice

Opening an invitation or signing in does not start location sharing. You must explicitly accept tracking for the assigned load and grant device location permission. While sharing is active, the app sends your precise location, its accuracy, and update time. Sharing can continue while the app is in the background or the screen is off. iPhone uses its background location permission; Android uses a location foreground service with a tracking notification; its visibility depends on your notification settings.

Dispatch uses this information to follow the shipment and verify active tracking before releasing the carrier Rate Confirmation. Use Stop sharing in the app, or withdraw location permission in your phone settings, to stop sharing from your device. An offline stop cannot notify dispatch until the app reconnects. Completed, cancelled, or reassigned loads stop accepting location updates. Records already received are not automatically deleted when sharing stops. Without current tracking, dispatch may be unable to release Rate Confirmation.

Text messages and your choices

The inviting brokerage obtains separate permission for its driver texts, including app invitations and requested password-reset links. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Follow the message’s STOP instructions to opt out or HELP instructions for assistance. SMS opt-out and app location sharing are separate controls: replying STOP does not by itself end an active location-sharing session. Use Stop sharing in the app. Agreeing to texts does not authorize GPS tracking.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent information are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be provided to service providers as needed to operate the service, deliver messages, and maintain access and consent records. See the WALS TMS Privacy Policy and the inviting brokerage’s SMS terms and privacy information.

Questions, corrections, and deletion requests

Contact the brokerage dispatcher who invited you for load help, account access, or requests concerning its shipment records, including correction or deletion. For WALS platform privacy questions, email info@walstms.com. Signing out, stopping location sharing, or opting out of SMS does not itself delete an account or records already received. Ask the brokerage or WALS about the process for your request and any records that must be retained.
